Beauty of Backwaters

Day 1: Delhi Arrival Met on arrival and transferred to the hotel. Overnight hotel in a double room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: Delhi Full day guided sightseeing of New and Old Delhi including Raj Ghat, Shanti Vana, Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Lakshminarayan Temple, Lotus Temple. Also drive past President’s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping center. Overnight hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3: Delhi – Cochin Transferred to domestic airport for your flight to Cochin. Met on arrival at Cochin airport and transferred to the hotel. Overnight hotel in a double room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 4: Cochin Kochi (Cochin), one of South India’s most interesting towns, still largely comprises low rise, picturesque buildings. Rich in history, despite rapid recent growth it retains a relaxed, quiet atmosphere once the majority of the day-visitors leave. Narrow spits of land and coconut covered islands just out into the wide, and almost enclosed bay whose neck is lined with famous Chinese fishing nets.

Day 5: Cochin – Marrarikulam Proceed for Marrarikulam by car. Overnight at Marrari Beach Resort in a double room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 6: Marrarikulam Day to relax on the beach. Overnight at Marrari Beach Resort in a double room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 7: Marrarikulam – Backwaters After breakfast, you would be transferred to the starting point for Backwaters to board the Houseboat. Overnight Houseboat in a double room on a full board basis.

Day 8: Backwaters Houseboat, BackwaterBackwater cruise on a houseboat. Overnight Houseboat in a double room on a full board basis.

Day 9: Backwater s -Mankotta Island Alight from the houseboat and transfer to Mankotta Island. Overnight Mankotta Island Resort in a double room on a full board basis.

Mankotta Island Resort is housed in the ancestral family farmhouse. The Island is 1 square mile in size and is surrounded by the river Pamba. Mankotta is a functional farm growing rice, coconut, and cocoa. It also has a dairy, poultry and fish farm. Visitors are free to walk around the island, observe the various activities of the farm, meet the village people, see how they live, etc. Mankotta is far from crowd and nature at its best.

It has abundant birdlife for a keen birdwatcher. The river is clean and safe for people to swim in.

Day10: Mankotta Day free stroll in the environs of the Island. Overnight Mankotta Island Resort in a double room on a full board basis.

Day11: Mankotta – Cochin After breakfast, get transferred to Cochin and onto Delhi for the flight back home.
